Born 13 July 1982 in Duzce. She has Turkish and Circassian ancestry. Cigdem has 21 years of a professional career in Turkey. She received her bachelor’s degree from Gazi University Faculty of Communication Department of Public Relations and Publicity in Ankara in 2004. She then received her master's degree from Bahcesehir University in Advanced Acting in 2008. She is currently a PhD student due to graduate in 2021. Cigdem has also been a lecturer at reputable Capital City Communication Sciences Academy since 2019 in Turkey and has organized many workshops and tutorial classes in acting and drama. Cigdem first started working as an actress on television and also she started working as a VoiceOver artist in 2006.

Cigdem Batur is a theatre, cinema and TV series actress, voice actress, and presenter. She worked as a presenter, acting, program and director assistant in various programs at TRT (Turkish Radio Television) which is the first TV station founded in 1964.

Actress, known by quite popular film productions in Turkey called Valley of the Wolves -TV series; She has appeared in Valley of Wolves (Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu) as a lead woman role Leyla Turkmen during 165 episodes. Valley of Wolves is one of the highly preferred Turkish drama series around the world, currently being shown in over 30 countries. She has been nominated and received many awards for her tv serials. She has appeared in many serial movies that include Silver (2005), Give Up My Heart (2007), My Daisy (2009), Walley of Volves (2010), Crazy Heart (2017) and many movies that include Busra (2010), Our Story (2014), Pinhan (2015), Burgundy Berets Afrin (2017), The Way of Love (2021).

Since 2000, she is performing in theatre that including many kinds of theatre plays. Cigdem has appeared in Macbeth, a witch and bridesmaid. Some of the plays are; Big Anger of Philipp Hotz (2000), A Sehnaz Play (2001), Ear to Ear (2003). She performed in “Chief Trouble” from 2011 to 2014. Otherwise, she has been working as an art director in “Null Subject” (2014). In 2016 she has appeared in Death Can Catch. Her last performance was in Battleship as the lead role as well. Cigdem is interested in music. She sang songs for several projects. She had two cover songs. “Deger mi Hic” and “Lambaya Puf De”.

She moved to live in London in August 2021. Cigdem is planning to perform as an actress in London. Besides that she has high-level expertise in training performers – typically film, television, theatre and, musical theatre actors–and gives them tips, advice and mentoring to enable them to improve their acting and dramatic performances, prepare for auditions and prepare better for roles.
